Hello, sorry about my english because i'm brazilian...

My friend went to USA and brought for me a Asus G51vx-Rx05(BestBuy model). And i figure out that my notebook came with problem, because i used the notebook until battery runs off, then i put the AC adapter to recharge the battery in this moment the problem shows up.
When my notebook is power on and i put it to recharge with AC adapter, the orange LED of battery indicator starts to flashing, not stay always on, and when i'm in windows (VISTA ULTIMATE x64) the indicator of how the notebook is starts to change madly, indicating that battery isnt charging consistently.

But when i put my battery to recharge with the notebook turned off sometimes the battery recharge normally and sometimes not.

Now i'm in trouble, because this notebook don't have any support here in Brazil, and i dont see chance that send it back because its cost too much, i believe.

I don't know what the hell its going on, if the notebook with the problem, or the baterry is the problem...

I came to this forum to try find any solution to this, or to know that it's or something like that already happened to anyone here.

Thank you for at least those who read my message to the end.

    Thanks Guys

Are you using a power strip or plugging it directly to the wall?

In this moment i'm using the notebook without the battery, and i already tryed both methods, directly to the wall and with a power strip. In both cases happens same problem.

either the connection of the power adapter to the back of the laptop is loose or ur battery may be defective .... its more of a hardware issue than software

Maybe the problem is in the power cord ... try using another power cord WITH THE SAME VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION (This means : read the manual with attention or you can seriously damage your notebook)

If this is not solved this way use the geeksquad app to contact support center.

That's what I think, but it's strange because i didn't found any problem like this mine on the google.

Another power cord or other AC adapter ?? IN THIS CASE, it's strange because with the AC adapter and without battery the notebook runs OK.

I want to find out what could be before having to send the notebook to support or having to buy a new battery, IF POSSIBLE

yeah, that is wierd it works fine with the battery removed. No idea what that means though, could still be a battery, notebook, or even the AC adapter I guess.

Would definitely try and find a different AC adapter first, just to rule that out as the problem.

Ask any friend of yours for another power cord and AC adapter and try every "combination possible" to check if the problem is in the power supply line.

If you still have the same problem, ok, your battery is probably f*cked up.

However .. have you checked the power manager options ? i hardly believe that is a software thing but after sending it to service you have to discard every option.

Now i guess that my battery really messed up, because i cant load at anyway, even with notebook turned off she don't shows any signal of life.
CURIOUS, in that same time that i'm writting this message the indicator of how it notebook is, flashed in the screen, but the notebook is WITHOUT battery...
    this is hell wierd!!!!
Now i'm thinking that battery is dead, and has any driver in conflict...
    What yours think?

I just reinstalled right now, and the problem continuos. But now when i put the battery in notebook(TURNED ON) him TURN OFF. And when i put the AC adapter in notebook with him TURNED OFF the orange LED turn on just for few seconds, and later starts flashing, and later turn off at all...
And the most wierd is the notebook works fine with only AC adapter plugged in.

    PS: The battery is empty.

The battery isn't dead because i put it on notebook right now, and indicator shows me that still have 6%, this because i tryed recharge with notebook turned off. And when i plugged the AC adapter on notebook with him TURNED OFF the orange LED turn on just for few seconds(Showing it's recharging, and later starts flashing until turn off. This shows that battery recharge a little but recharge.
I don't know where is the problem now...

check if there is nothing blocking the contact between the battery and the notebook.

there is nothing blocking the contact between the battery and the notebook.

Just a few minutes ago, i turned the notebook without the battery and that logo of Battery(when only battery plugged) or AC adapter(when only AC plugged) appears and stay flashing change between one and other while a few seconds.
    This is driving me crazy.

Now i don't know if the issue is on notebook hardware, battery or plug...

And i already send email to asus suport to figure out whats happening. Waiting for aswers.

Technical assistance told me that the problem could be the battery or in the control circuit of battery on the motherboard, then I'll look for a technical assistance here to try to resolve the problem.

When I settle or reach a definitive conclusion I post here on the forum.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help me.
