My battery is definatley not secure. It doesnt seem to be clicking in possible. When I lift the laptop of my desk, it sometimes just pops out. With a minor shake it comes flying out.

    What is going on?

Have you checked the latch mechanism? It would help if you'd post the model of your laptop and pictures if possible.

He has a G1S. From the pictures I've seen, like typical units there are two latches on the bottom of the unit.

Typically on ASUS units one latch is a spring-loaded latch and the other is a switch. It might have colored on one side and black on the other. The switch side has to be in and the battery has to be pushed in so that it clicks into place. I believe the "getting started" leaflet that came with it should cover it.

If it still doesn't work, maybe the clip is broken and needs RMA...

I hear the click and I both locks seem to be in place. Now after messing with it a little more, it finally seems to be secure. Ill post again if the problem ever comes back.
