I was only my G50v last night and the battery went down to 9% so i turned it off..Today when i got home i plugged in the charger and laptop..It says its at 0% and (Pluggedin, charging).. Its been plugged in for over an hour now and still reads 0%...If i unplug the cord it shuts off instantly...I've took out the battery left it for a mins then put in back in and booted again...Still the same..

I've never heard of anythin like this...Please any reason why? and a fix?

You killed the battery by draining it too low. You need to get a new battery.

How its only 6months old, there is even a post that tells you to leave your battery to go completely dead and fully re-charge to re-calibrate it??

Would a new battery be covered by warrenty??

How old is the laptop? Batteries can die as early as 1 year. I mean, obviously yours is dead, but if it's a year old then it's not that abnormal.

nm you just posted its age... yeah 6 months is early, I'd check with Asus.

Read the battery guide on how to properly maintain your battery. Other than that, might be a glitch in the software controlling the battery charging, as Reaper said, resetting the factory settings in BIOS will recalibrate the system.

I had the exact same thing happen with my G50V. Solved it by turning laptop off and removing the battery, then restarting.

Just a related but not to the problem note. NEVER leave the battery fully discharged for any decent amount of time.
