I have a V1J with the much discussed battery wear level problem. Lately it has been swinging a bit, from 93% to 85%, then to 95% with consecutive full drains.

I had the notebook on sleep while moving home from work, and on powering up, to my surprise the wear level is now set at 0%. The voltages seem very wrong and I'm not quite sure how to progress. After some use I turned it off yesterday and powered it up just now, still 0% and full capacity at 982980 mWh... if only it were true, waah.

Does anyone have a similar experience?

I'll try a full drain tonight, we'll see if it blows up and/or dies for good or what. :p

I think the battery firmware has gone past the point where it was buggy, into "totally screwed" territory :)

    Just RMA the thing...

Hrm.... I haven't had that issue since they sent me that new battery. It seems to self-reset when it goes too far out (it went to 4%, then reset itself to 1-2% the two or three times I actually pushed it that far), but then again, I'm still always using the modular battery.

Not really looking to test my luck, it seems to be working and my battery warranty is up, sooo...

That seems to be the behavior that people reported for the new V1S batteries. Perhaps the replacement is a V1S battery.
