Asus is the best, and they make some great notebooks, but of the 17" which is the best for a little gaming, loads of media stuff, photo edititng and fantastic looks and build???
    Preferably made of metals...

Well, the Z84 with a 7900GS should be better, but ASUS doesn't really make high end gaming notebooks, just high end media notebooks - at the moment.

When the C-series comes out, then yeah...

W2 and Z84. W2 will be better with appealing look than Z84. Z84 has webcam and 4 speakers which incredibly loud in room enviroment. 7900GS upgrade on Z84 needs further modification.

im extremely happy with my G2.
But if ur a big movie buff and will use this mainly for such then the W2pc may be better suited cause it has a remote and built in tuner.
The specs between the two are almost exact but i think the G2 may be better (marginally) for gaming.
Besides all that id rather the brushed silver alum look of the G2 than the brushed black of the W2p

Only thing i will say thats bad about the W2 is the front of the laptop base is fairly sharp (squared off edge) and upon prolonged typing your forearms will be irritated by it.

I think that the G2P is great. I have not seen a W2PC, but it looks good online. I don't have a bad thing to say about my Laptop.

well it doesnt really make sense that their budget 14 inch line has a better gpu than their 3000$ 17 inch hd dvd line.

One has the best gpu on earth
one has a generic level gpu for its size. only its the wrong way around
