Getting new ASUS UX31E this morning. Have read bloatware guide on this site. It does not tell me what I want to know. Should I open the box and just reinstall Windows 7 from scratch, then add back only the drivers and utilities that I really need. I am afraid that using the uninstall feature to bloatware programs still leaves an untidy hard drive and registry issues. Thoughts?

open box and clean install, of course.

Biggie KAy, I ran on the 'factory' image for 6 months with no major issues, I just uninstalled programs that were useless or redundant. I did not do a 'clean' install until I was trying to solve a sleep wake issue; which the clean install did not address.
