So I bought my G1S-X1 yesterday for $1599.99 - No accessories

    Specs:

    T7300 2.0 4mb L2
    2GB Ram
    15.4 WSXGA+ Glossy
    8600M GT 256 DDR
    160 5400rpm

After purchasing it i felt a little buyers remorse, as I found that I can get the same laptop but with the T7500 2.2 for the same price plus a backpack and mouse and external HD from GentechPC. I went back into Best Buy and found they dropped the price to $1549.99. I am wanting to know, is it worth returning this T7300 and ordering the T7500 2.2 for roughly $50-$100 more?

My purpose of this laptop is purely for gaming. I am also tossing around the idea of completely going to a Sager 5791, as this laptop is going to be a desktop replacement as well. Let me know your thoughts, thanks

Personal opinion here, I would return and go for the 5791. I just like the design better honestly. You can get the black and orange, or the silver and black. It's clean looking.

As for power... Eh. They're almost equal. Though, if I'm not mistaken, the 5791 does have the more powerful GPU.

Price. The G1S is a much better deal, you get the mouse, the bag, AND the rig. All for an average of $500-$600 less than the 5791.

It's up to you really. Just wiegh your options and your opinions and see what you like better.

I ordered mine through GenTech last week. I read somewhere in the forum that the BB one has only 1 year warranty and its warranty is serviced by Geeksquad not Asus.

Yeah that 1 yr warranty is a bit of a turn off. I think I will return it and either go with the G1S-A1 from Gentechpc or Sager 5791 from Xoticpc. The only thing that turns me off of the Sager is the Matte Screen, I dont know how bright and clear it is (I wont go WUXGA for gaming) and the Cheap Carbon fiber around the keyboard.

Sager offers a WSXGA+ as well. Though on the sager website it is a good 160+ if I remember correctly. Give or take $10 or $15.

I originally planned on getting the g1s x1 from best buy until I realized that I could get a g1s-a1 for almost the same price online (no tax) with mouse and bag. If your going to stick with asus, get the g1s a1 over x1. another thing is, you'll find a lot more online support from forums and such if you get the a1 instead of the x1. although, they are nearly identical.

I thought it was the exact same laptop. Just not the same package; meaning the A1 is + the mouse and bag, and the X1 is some BB/store reseller "deal" that sells you the same laptop for more $$$ - the mouse and bag...

    Am I wrong?

The BB version has a 2.0 processor and a 1 year BB warranty. The A1 has the bag, mouse, 2.2 processor, and 2 year Asus warranty.

The 1 year accidental warranty does not apply on retail ASUS notebooks as well.
