Call of Duty 4 is the only game i have ever played that consistently crashes because of my video card. When i try to update through control panel it tells me my card is up to date, when i try and update through Nvidia's site it tells me there is nothing that exists that could be updated.

I've tried updating through Laptop2go, but i've gotten no recognition that anything has stuck, so i'm unsure that i even did anything.

I have an nVidia 8600m GT in an ASUS G1S-A1 with 2gb ram and 2.20ghtz processor.

I did not really understand this part but do the following :

    1. Unistall your drivers.
    2. Run Driver Sweeper in Safe Mode.
    3. Reboot, display will look . Install these.

You can also just install Nvidia's regular reference drivers through the device manager. That's what I plan to do as I'm uncomfortable running third party software unless I have to.
