    I'm getting a W3J... what's a good sleeve that is reasonably priced and will secure my notebook?

    I've heard of Shinza sleeves, but don't know if they're any good.

    Any suggestions?

    Check out the accessories forum, lots of info there. Personally, I'd go for this one, but again, depends on your budget and needs.

    Well, I got a Shinza zeroshock for my W3J. The 14inch one. The case is pretty nice, it's just a little big top to bottom wise (height?), so it doesn't fit into my Asus W3J messenger bag that came with my W3J. :( I really like my Asus bag too. *sigh*

    But Shinza seems pretty good. I ordered yesterday at about 1145am, and I got it tonight when I got home, but it could be becuase I'm not too far from Torrance where they shipped it out of. (FedExSaver, I never use FedEx ground, they suck).

    I also picked up on of these: http://shinza.com/product_info.php?products_id=23&osCsid=45d6bdc968228932a163b01171684dd5 [IMG]

    I'm playing with it right now. :) Definitely really well designed and it sounds much better than my iDog (sorry Sega) :p

    That's totally going to be my portable speaker :)

    So the 14" Shinza actually fits the W3J?

    It says here on the site:

    * Exterior (W x D x H): 14.2 x 1.0 x 11.8 inches (360 x 25 x 300 mm)
    * Interior (W x D x H): 13.0 x 1.8 x 10.8 inches (330 x 45 x 275 mm)

    And according to proportable, the W3J has these dimensions..
    13" x 9.7" x 1.18~1.28"

    When you compare that ot the interior, it seems it'd be a pretty snug fit.

    I was at Fry's yesterday and I saw the Sumdex 14.1". It says fits laptops: 12.75" x 10.25" x 2". But i read some poster inthis thread, and he was able to fit it into the Sumdex 14.1"???

    the Shinza one fits W3V for sure. Thats the one I am using now. Although you might want to order from places other than Ebay since I suspect the one I got is not authentic from Shinza. I have felt the material from an authentic shinza sleeve in a retail store and it is more "cushy" than the ones from ebay.

    The Sumdex one is really next as well.

    Like my post before.. look for teh Sumdex one. I've seen one in person in a Sumdex booth and it feels more protective than the Shinza one

    Does anyone have experience witht these Zeroshock III sleeves on ebay? I know the official japanese company (Elecom) does make them.

    One more thing, would the W3J fit into the 12-13.3" sleeve or just stick with the 14.1" sleeve? I ask because I have the 12" Zeroshock from shinza.com and they can be stretched to at least another 1/2 inch to accommadate some more room.

    I want a snug fit on the W3J, the 14" Zeroshock III seems a little large, perhaps the 12-13.3" can be stretched a little.

    If price is of no concern, Waterfield makes some of the best sleeves that are made to custom fit any brand/model of notebook. The sleeves have a neoprene interior and a ballistic nylon exterior, but be prepared to spend $50-$60. You can browse their site at www.sfbags.com. I've bought from them a couple of times, and they have great customer service too. Cheers.

    I'm looking at the Incase Nylon Sleeve for MacBook Pro... for a W3J. Does anyone know how it will fit? It says "Compatible with 15-in. MacBook Pro, 15-in. PowerBook and 14-in. iBook models" but that seems about the same as the W3J.

    I finally got a sleeve for my W3J, thanks to the forum. I ended not getting the Zeroshocks from ebay due to shipping (auction is from overseas). I was worried the W3J may get all scratched up. I read that someone used the Sumdex ImpactGuard sleeve from fry's. I went to fry's to see how they were and I have to say, its almost like the 12" Zeroshock I have for my 12" Asus laptop. Its made from the same material, the Sumdex is a little harder than the Zeroshock though. It also comes with a handle, so that is always a plus, and fits nicely in larger bag as well. The W3J fits perfectly in the sleeve and for only $20, it was well worth it. Here is a link to it....
