Theres no refurbished ones, since...that's pretty impossible since its from the dealer and not ASUS....so at most its second hand.

Check the ASUS FAQ in the ASUS subforums to find a list of resellers

Geared2Play.com, the most affordable with the same parts and much better support. If the price wasn't lower enough compared to the rest, they also have many discounts that you can combine also... student, cash discount, fireman, military, free shipping, etc. Got my Z70V and Z70VA from there.

I almost bought a Z71v from them before getting my T42. They seemed pretty good on the pre-sales side. They have very good reseller ratings. That is what I can tell you.

    ISTNC

I bought two notebooks from them: Z70v (sold it on eBay) and Z70va (this is why I sold my Z70v). ISTNC has great prices and even better customer service.

YEP. so far ISTNC has the best price compared to other sites. why do they call it the z70v refresh ? for sure thats the same as the z70va right ?

im just kinda pissed that the z70va looks so drab for such a great machine. do they offer different cases like a darker colored case or soemthing ? anything just as good as the z70va that looks better, sleeker , thiner ?

Yes, the Z70v "refresh" is the same as the Z70va.

Y'know, you're the ONLY person I've seen refer to the Z70va as "drab." Most everyone, myself included, thinks it's about the sexiest notebook around. Pictures can't really convey just how good-looking it is. I don't think you'll find any X700 notebook that's thinner, sleeker than the Z70va.

What do you mean by weaker? The Z71v's 6600 Go card packs neary the same punch as the ATI X700.

Default have $1800 limit on buying a notebook. WHATS THE BEST.. so far i like the asus z70v
want widescreen, very good graphics and screen, good build, clean sleek look, and the hardware firepower to back it up. doesnt have to be asus.

im going with the z70va so u know what im looking at cause this machine is almost everything i want except for the looks. does this lap have good sound quality ?

the z70va i want has the pentium M 2.0 Ghz
1gig of ram , 80gig hardrive 7200rpm, internal bluetooth and wireless internet, whatevers stock and etc. not sure of everything off the top of my head.

is the z71v weaker ? THANSK GUYS AFTER THIS THREAD I WILL BOTHER NO MORE

Z70va = better screen, lighter, slimmer, internal Bluetooth, X700 performs a little better than the 6600 Go in most cases.

I don't think you can get an 80GB 7200RPM hard drive for the Z70va, unless that's a recently added option.

No prob about your questions. That why we're here. :)

We have the Z70Va with bluetooth in stock, and offer student/military, and referral discounts. On most models we usually ship the next day.
