    I'm thinking of the following:
    Z71v
    Z70v
    W1
    W2 - should I wait for this?

Which would be the best? I'm looking for a DTR that can handle multiple applications at one time, doesn't run hot (or if it does, just warm and not hot), seldom noisy (fans), has bluetooth/wi-fi, 15-17" screen, solid keyboard (not expecting it to be like IBM's but good enough), 128mb dedicated graphics card but I'm not a hardcore gamer. My budget is from $2000 - $2800

Best bang for buck I would say the z70v, it can come with everything you want and has a history of good quality (checkout the older M6Ne), although it doesnt have 128Mb gpu, it does have 64+ hypermemory, and in all honesty, I have yet to see a benchmark that shows any real advantage of going from 64 to 128mb on the same card....in fact sometimes the 64Mb versions run a few fps faster.
That said the W2 would definitely be the best DTR in that bunch, although it may test your budget, and if you need a laptop asap then the month or so wait maybe to much.

    good luck

I could dance around this question too and give you the good and bad to all of them, but you made some pretty clear statements.

    1. You have up to $2,800 to spend

    2. You want a real DTR and weight wasn't mentioned

    3. 15 to 17" screen... so you don't mind the later size

    4. You claim to need 128mb dedicated (the hypermemory claim on the Z70v is certainly legit since you don't need it for gaming, but you did say you NEED it).

    5. Bluetooth - true we're going to try to retrofit the Z70v with it, but it'll come in the W2s for sure.

I'd push you towards the W2 more than anyone else.

    Thanks,
    Justin
