This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Who is the best on-line retailer for Asus notebooks? Newegg has terrific reviews, but Proportable seems to know the product well. Any other suggestions or opinions? Any idea when the V1J will be coming out?

    ResellerRatings.com is your friend. What I did when deciding for myself was to run down the reseller list on the Asus site. ProP has a phenomenal track record and ratings on there, plus Justin is pretty visible on here so...

    Do a little home work - make sure the prices are in line and go with your gut.

    The V1j is EXPECTED in August...keep in mind that it is only an ETA and could come later in the year.
