Just got my G1S in from Gentech and I'd like to know the best drivers to use for the 8600M GT. Thanks.

The drivers from the Asus site are most likely old, I dont recommend those. I use the 163.11s from laptopvideo2go and they are working fine for me.

However, you can look around that site and read some feedback on other drivers and choose different ones.

After going through about 6 different drivers. best being the 158.xx 165.xx and 163.xx i found that the 163.xx are currently working the best for me. Mainly the163.11 for vista. i wouldnt recommend using the 163.15 as i heard they are bugy and not good for performance. All from http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers/vista&sort=1 for vista

    Eso

Thanks Esotericrj and Bare for suggesting those. I'll give them a whirl. DLing the Enemy Territory beta. Hope that doesn't give me any issues!

    Quick noob question here:

I've really had absolutely no problems so far with whatever stock drivers came with my almost 2 month old G1S - but let's say I download the 163.11 drives from laptop2go as recommended above - is it easy to revert back to stock drivers just in case I do have problems?

    Minimal headache?

    Thanks.
