    Is the asus warranty from bestbuy covering global or not?

    Well I spoke to a local service person here at Finland and he said that all Asus notebooks have global warranty except Eee family. But you'd better call em to find out.

    I'm pretty sure that the Asus warranty for BB units is US only, and that it is only for 12 months.

    Global 2 year warranty, with Accidental Damage for 12 months, is reserved for their mainstream Ensemble units purchased via a reseller. It's one of several reasons that the BB models are less expensive.

    if i have a problem with the laptop can i ship it to them and get it repaired?
    I am living in the middleeast and i have a p.o. box of a shipping company in US that ships to me anything that is received to them by my name
    that is how i an going to buy the laptop from bb

    The warranty for Best Buy is different from other ASUS products. Generally you only get 12-months of warranty, with no global warranty, no ADW, and no express shipping. I believe you have to take the product back to Best Buy for repair.

    Its usually best to purchase from non-Best Buy vendors, although they tend to be more expensive (due to better warranty coverage)

    BestBuy's extended warranty coverage is done exclusively by GeekSquad (not Asus) - and they have a colorful reputation in some quarters.

    Global warranty, administered in the US by Asus' NA division in Fremont CA, in the eyes of the majority of folks here is*much* better than GS. Overseas, the quality of global warranty depends on where you are.

    yes i am aware of the shipping cost

    I am thinking of this only incase I get a lemon or if my laptop dies during the warranty period

    if any small problem happens with the laptop I will fix it myself

    the thing is that I want to purchase the g50vt and my budget is limited to 1100 usd only :(
