    I wasn't sure which board to post this in, so I put in here since I have a Asus G51vx-RX05

    I decided to hook my laptop up to my 1080p 37" LCD TV with a HDMI cable. When I selected 1080p the image was too big for the screen so I resized the resolution to fit the screen using the nvidia control panel option.

    I loaded up BC2 and selected the custom resolution it created, and joined a full server Ata Desert. The game looked amazing, and for some reason it seems to be running even better than what it ran at when I used the laptops native resolution of 1366*768? My fraps were reporting 40-60FPS, so I started a benchmark. The game seemed to be running much smoother, even though it doesn't run bad when I just playing it on my laptop screen.

    I did notice that my GPU was being utilized a lot more than usual, and the fan was running full tilt almost the entire game. I hit a max GPU temp of 100C, when I usually hit 89-92C.

    These are the settings I run the game with:

    [WindowSettings]
    Width=1832
    Height=1038
    Fullscreen=true
    RefreshRate=60
    VSync=false
    [Sound]
    Quality=low
    VoipEnable=true
    SpeakerCount=0
    [Graphics]
    Effects=medium
    Soldiers=medium
    Vehicles=medium
    Overgrowth=medium
    Undergrowth=medium
    StaticObjects=medium
    Terrain=medium
    Shadows=low
    Bloom=false
    HSAO=false
    MSAA=0
    Water=low
    MainQuality=custom
    Texture=high
    DxVersion=auto
    Aniso=2
    Detail=medium
    RenderAheadLimit=2
    Fov=65
    v=55

    Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
    21953, 420146, 0, 125, 52.251

    I also have an upgraded CPU from the P7350 to a T9900 OC to 3.3ghz

    Is it possible that using the higher resolution caused my GPU to be more fully utilized and resulted in better performance?
