    Big problems with the ATKACPI driver!

    Hi there! I have some serious problems with my ATKACPI driver on my Asus A7V notebook. When i start windows XP Home Edition i get a message that the atkacpi driver failed to start up. I´ve tried to reinstall the driver but it just wont start.

    You need to either make sure you've uninstalled it first, then reinstall.... or go through and do a restore and see if that helps.

    Did you install the latest WiFi drivers from Intel? I know that's a problem on the A6-series.

    Actually i did install the latest wifi driver from intel... Well, i will try to install an earlyer version of the wifi driver.

    Install the wifi driver that's on the Asus website :)

    Yep, personally I would stick to the ASUS ones, tried installing the generic intel ones and had lots of connection issues. At the end of the day the ASUS ones are the most stable, and get the job done!

    Well.. it looks like everything worked out just fine, it was the driver that gave me the issues. Thanks for the help! :D
