I upgraded to windows 7 ultimate 64 when I upgraded my hard drives, but now I can't log into windows using the fingerprint scanner. I can use the facial recognition, but it works sporaticaly. Anyone have any ideas? I know the scanner is Authentec, and I'm aware that the utility that Asus originally used has changed. I also know windows 7 has a biometrics utility, but it is only good for accessing things inside of the OS. I have downloaded the Authentec TruSuite, and I have registered my prints, but it still won't log me on. It says there are no saved prints. I'm thinking that the scanner is looking in a different file for the data than where the TruSuite stored it. Any help would be most appreciated.

Any model would be helpful. Although, on my n10j, I had some problems getting fingerprints working after a w7 upgrade... and I don't remember how I fixed it. It wasn't really broken, though, I just had to enable some settings ... maybe a driver update... I really don't remember details, only that it wasn't working the way I thought it should be ... and then it was.
