Help. i'm having trouble looking for a bios update for my U41sv. It's not available on the download/support page. I've emailed asus support already.

But meanwhile, anybody knows where else i can look for it?

Asus are good pc's. Asus use to focus only on making good pc motherboards, but then later went into making their own computers which I think are nice computers, all around.

If I am correct, Asus only sells their pc's through retailers though, which may be cheaper, but I wish they had their own onlineshopping site.

    You did try intel, right?
    If not try their sites:

    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/

    or

    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Sea...ds&ProductProduct=Intel®+Desktop+Board+DX58SO

    or

    Driver Squad Intel Bios Drivers

The U41SV should come with the latest BIOS available. That model is brand new and not even available in the U.S at this time. I would be surprised if there was a BIOS update for it.
Is there a reason you're looking for a BIOS update.

My fan control seems to be very weird. Blowing really loudly during idle or low temp (45celcius).
But i'm not too sure whether it's cause of the windows gadget that i have running on my desktop. When i hid them, the fan slowed down. Turn them back on, it comes back whining away.
The windows gadgets are "Core Temp" and "GPU Meter". I cant seem to put my finger to the problem.

Edit: Whoa apparently GPU meter gadget was the one causing the fan to whining.

Do you have a SATA hard drive (regular hard drive), if so that may be the problem, but is still unlikely for hard drives to be that loud. Solid state drives don't make any noise though.
