Okay... My Asus G51Vx-RX05 has been recently acting odd. Whenever I load a game (and I've tired several), I always get a black screen and my computer freezes up. Sometimes I'm able to actually get into the game before it does this, and at other times, it does it right in the menu. I don't overclock either my CPU or GPU, so I know it's not from that. (I did undervolt my GPU, however.) Could the GPU be dying? Or could it be a driver problem? (I'm using 186.82.)

I'd try updating drivers first, and if that doesn't work, up the voltage on your GPU slightly. If that doesn't work, perhaps it's a problem with Windows... and if thaaat isn't it, it's a hardware problem most likely.

I wouldn't mess with the GPU voltage to avoid overheating issues. -
What drivers should I be looking to update, besides the obvious Nvidia drivers? And what would be the best Nvidia drivers to update to? (I'm currently using the Dox 185.85; I was using WHQL 186.82.)

I would stay away from Dox for the time being since you are experiencing problems; I'm using 186.82 and not having any issues. Try monitoring your GPU temps and see what they are averaging. And try re-installing any official drivers, though I wouldnt jump to the 19x.xx series just yet.
