    Black cord that came w/ a M50Sv-A1

    It's an Svideo plugin on 1 side(i think) and then a different plug in the other side that has orange inside. What's it for?

    If its an S-video cable then it's used for connecting your computer to a projector or other device for video output. Does the other plug noticeably connect to anywhere on your computer? Can you upload a picture?

    That cable is probably for video out, for instance to output signal to a TV. From the model page it seems that the M50Sv doesn't have that port:

    unless they overlooked it.

    So you can consider it a (useless) present, probably :D But do post the picture, I don't know what the other side is for, maybe it really does plug into something such as HDMI.
