i flashed my BIOS in windows using Asus own flash tool. i have a Asus K50AB, from 2008, and i tough i'll update the bios from 201 to 220. the update itself went fine, rebooted, and then i got an message upon post, press F1 or F2 dont remember the message, i pressed F2, and i got into windows. went into CPU-Z, and the bios now showed 220. Then, reoboted again, and now the screen just stays black, the fan and everything starts up, but nothing shows up on screen. Have also tried VGA to my TV, but Nothing

Try removing the battery & ac power for 30 seconds and try powering it on again.

The http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus/174395-bios-update-guide-asus-notebooks.html suggests only flashing the BIOS from a FAT-formatted USB stick using EasyFlash from the BIOS setup menu. Winflash and flashing from NTFS partitions are more risky.

If it was a bad flash, you can send it back to ASUS (or an authorized service center) to have it fixed.

have tried that, also tried to remove the small battery inside for 10 minutes.

There is no warranty on it, so sending it to Asus is not an option, its old with outdated hardware, so i dont wanna spend much on it, but it works just fine for my use, so its a shame if its going to the trash :(

There has the be a way to waken it up?

ASUS should take it for you, as long as you explain that it was a bad BIOS flash they may charge you shipping, but it should be reflashed by them for free or a very small charge. Even out of warranty.

You could reflash the chip with an eeprom programmer, but you have to flash only the upper portion or you will wipe out your slic tables (which contain your windows license, for one example). I'm not an expert with that stuff so I can't give you precise directions.
