Is Asus notorius on putting bloatware on their laptops?
And do their notebook and netbooks come with a clean instal disk?
If you can answer it for the 1005ha that would be great ^^ thanks.

Depending on the model and the hardware it comes with, there could be a fair amount. I never use the camera-based login, nor do I use data security, LoJack, or a half dozen other things I've come across. It's really easy to get rid of, though. It's just something you expect when you get a new computer.

Asus netbooks have a lot less bloatware compared to notebooks.
For the 1005HA, the few that comes to mind are: Eee Storage, Asus update, Super Hybrid Engine (similar to Turbo Gear on notebooks), and Norton. -

I have the G50VT-X5 (Best Buy model) and it has less bloatware than a HP laptop.

I will definitely attest to that.
I'm playing Geek Squad for my landlord at the moment, and, good God, this HP G60 has so much crap on it it's astonishing. -

If you use the DVDs to restore, you can choose which pieces of "bloatware" to install. Not sure if this is true for anything other than the G50Vt.
