Okay, I have a quick question. I know that in order to play Blu-Ray videos from a dvd I will need a blu-ray drive on my laptop but is it the same case if I download blu-ray content online? I mean in that case I am not running it off a disk drive so will I be able to watch a media in blu-ray in that case if I don't have a blu-ray driver on my laptop that is , If i get the A2 not the A1 G73JH.

If it's a file all you need is the correct software/codecs to play whatever format it is...probably one of the reasons the HTPC concept is starting a bit of a resurgence is due to the availability and convenience of getting and storing HD content in file form onto a hard drive

Back to your question, I presume u are refering to MKV's. Yes, u can play them fine on ANY system if u have a decent video card to decode the contents properly.
U'll need (these are free BTW):

Media Player Classic:

The G73 with the i7 can handle any HD Content (both decoding and encoding). No matter the bitrate. The i7 Core is a beast when it comes to HD Content, especially with the latest revisions of x264 which are optimized for multi-threading.
What you need:
Depends on the container. If it's .mkv, you need Haali Media Splitter. If it uses . subtitles, you want direct vobsub.
- If it's .mp4 you are looking at the crappy quicktime container. Haali should be able to fine with the appropriate decoder
You need a directshow player. Media Player Classic is fine. So is JetAudio (set it to accept non-certified codecs). Zoomplayer also acceptable.
You need a decoder. DXVA is the hardware compatibility, JetAudio and MPC are both DXVA compatible. For software FFDShow Tryouts and CoreAVC 2.0 work.
