Installed the processor, hdd, and ram and then turned it on...nothing, no screen. No bios, nothing, just a blank screen. Anyone know what may be the problem? Thanks.

In this situation it can be either one of 2 things or both:

    1. Your RAM is incompatible and is not recognized by the BIOS or system.
What brand of memory did you purchase? What are the specifications of the memory? Are both modules exactly the same?

    2. Your CPU is not being recognized, unsuppported or not properly installed.
Name your CPU model number. Did you follow the ASUS barebones installation guide to install your processor? Is it properly seated and secured in the socket?

RAM is OCZ DDR2 667 PC2 5400, and both are the same.

    CPU is Core2 Duo T5500.

Notebook was brand new and did not come with an installation guide. I simply installed and the cpu was seated correctly.

    Thanks for the reply.

You might want to try different ram modules. OCZ has not been any good lately releasing crappy no name modules to compete with in lower value budget market. sigh. they used to have such high quality products.

Ok, thanks. But wouldn't the display still show something? Like maybe a "you got some RAM problems" message?

No. You need RAM to POST. Even if the CPU was bad but the RAM was good, you could still see the bios.
