I bought a used t101, and have a question regarding what I can and can not do to help with some of the response issues I have read about.

The laptop was sent with windows 7 professional. I don't know if they installed it or if it came with. My question is can I do a something that will bring the computer back to its original state, and would that be with 7 pro or 7 starter?

Also what else can I get rid of that isn't needed. I just need to use this for onenote, and basic websurfing.

Asus hasn't released any netbooks with W7 Pro, to my knowledge, so it was almost certainly upgraded by the original owner. Current model ships with W7 Starter. Most of the response issues are going to be hardware, rather than software based so you'll be stuck with what a touchscreen is for performance.

If you do a system recovery using the hard drive partition, it will revert to Starter.

Else you can check the Asus bloatware guide in the Info Booth here.
