I heard its ABS plastic, how is that better than my Z83V. I guess the two deciding factors would be, is it a 4200 or 5400 hd in that link and is it 2 - 256 ram modules or 1 - 512?
-
in general the ensembles are better built and use higher quality materials. That said the built-ons are still of good quality, esp when compared to say a dell.
In general ASUS tend to give 1 stick of ram and 5400rpm hdds, but in the case of the built on you will need to confirm this with the store first...its possible that they could switch out high end for low end...if they are not very nice...so you will have to check with them.

That model compared to the Z83v... I'd say it's about the same quality.
Z83v = A7 series.... which is equivalent in quality to the A6 series. -
The z83 is most likely abs plastic as well. dude you just bought your pc and your looking at new ones because of the dumb monitor scratch?
-
i knw, im all depressed bout it.
-
Really though. You need to work on dealing with this stuff. if you end up getting a cheaper computer you will be even less happy with it. its gonna have flex everywhere. and probably be a softer plastic that will scratch. noone here would sell their pc for a scratch just becasue they know the new one will get scratched as well.
-
I just dont know what to do. -
The scratch would also bother me that me, even more so because I did it myself. I would probably buy a new lcd and sell the old one on eBay. Someone with a cracked screen might not mind the scratch at all.
-
But anna we are talking about a surperficial scratch on the glossy coat. That most likely when the pc is on you cant even see.

Well look at it this way. If you sell it your probably looking to lose 500 bucks right. well a new LCD is about 500 bucks right so then just replace the lcd and call it a day.
