    Buy Asus C90S Replacement ACE Door for $10

    As promised im following up on the tip I was given to buy C90S parts from the Asus estore. I forgot who it was that pointed this out to me. However, to answer the question, the ACE door part is the one labeled "C90S-1A CPU DOOR ASSY". You will have to do a search for "C90S". It arrives without any stickers on it. I had mine shipped Fedex ground for an additional $5.

    Whoever it was that pointed me to the estore please say something so i can acknowledge you.

    This is great for those that want to drill air holes but dont want to void their warranty. I already drilled the holes in it but here it is:

    good find, i wonder what the lcd cover is... is that the lid maybe? because i was kinda dissapointed that it didnt say asus on it and if this does that is good because i had a nice scratch on mine that doesnt look to good

    How is the temp difference with the holes or without the holes without an cooler? I think it might be worth it for me...

    The other part labeled "C90S-1A BOTTOM CASE ASSY" for $20" is the entire bottom plastic. I dont know if it includes the ace door though. The lcd cover is the plastic surrounding the lcd screen. Its the border so to speak.

    I have been running temperature compaisons for 8 hours as of right now and I dont notice anything. I didnt have a larger drill bit so i did small hole rows leaving space between the rows for when i get a bigger drill bit (tommorrow)

    Temps dont move alot on there own, but you probably notice your fans running lower.

    Reason: More cooling there now so the fans are not kicking on, but because the fans are not on the temps remain about the same.

    Solution: Cooling pad or something similar, or do a fan mod.

    Is it possible to buy this piece in another place than Asus estore ?
    I live in Belgium and they don't ship the piece here.

    only 2-3 deg drop on its own... but with a cooler, 10-15 deg drop. at least that's what happened on mine... yeah. hope they could ship internationally as well... id like to get one to maintain warranty.

    It seems to be very hard to find this piece.
    I have mailed some computer shops and they all said that they can't provide me this piece.
