    Hello,
I have a F3Ka notebook at the moment and I love it, I need to buy a notebook for my dad that ranges between $400-$650. As long as it is decent it is going to work with him.

Any idea what model would be the best?
Where can I find a good deal on ASUS notebooks? Any sellers on here?

For resellers, check the Info Booth sticky, it has links and company names.

That price range is going to be tough for an ASUS I think... but you can try. In any case there's little chance of getting something else than a lower-end A or F model. Try to stay away from the F3 it has build issues.

Or you could try second-hand, but that comes with an entire set of other issues.

Edit: actually looking at the price list, there are options. Mostly older notebooks but it doesn't seem to matter for you.

Yea thanks a lot, I guess I will just have to look into other brands, it really won't matter for my dad as long as he can check his email and use word.

Try filling in the FAQ in "what notebook should I buy" forum. I have good experience with the Compaq Presario C700/C710ED, in that price range.

What about one of those triple E deals from Asus ? They any good ? They are in OP's price range. Saw a price @ $565usd

    There's a review @ http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=4405&review=Asus+Eee+PC+900+(white)

Looks like web browsings not a problem but it does not have a lot of space on it but maybe ok for office work.

The one in the review is a perfect colour...white. :)

I saw that, too small of a screen though, looking for at least 13"

I guess you'll probably have a hard time getting an Asus at your price range & specs. Don't know where you live but there are stores in USA like Best Buy & Circuit City that sell notebooks at the lower price ranges. Most seem to have AMD CPUs or Celeron Intel CPUs. As long as one does not need big CPU numbers they will probably do the trick.

You might still find some lower-end F models at that price. But it's really a good idea to fill in the FAQ, people will give you suggestions, also from other companies than asus, so that you get the best for your money.
