I am very happy with my F3Jp, but since I have an opportunity to sell if for more than it cost me, I am gona buy an F3Sv. Actually, I am having a cousin pick it up, so will get it towards the end of june. First thing I'll be doing is to try to unlock the extra pipelines... :D. Sadly a G1S is over my budget.... :(
But trying to mod the card should be satisfying for the geek in me..

Yep.. I confirmed that when I bought the F3Jp. The only issue is if the model isn't available here(which is mostly the case). Then, if repairs are required, they ship the piece outside, and it takes forever to return. This was what I was told by the VP, sales, Asus India. Haven't faced a problem so far....

Thank a lot! but I hope they can do minor repairs in the service centres they have here

F3SV will have the same built as F3JP na? How long you used F3JP and is it fine built wise?

I actually like the f3jv. i used to hate the f3j mainly due to some minor inherent defects. Now they took out that darned audio dj. Its thinner and lighter and cheaper then the g1s. has a fingerprint reader and better swivel cam. i am surprised it is not as popular as the g1s

The thing that turns most people off the F3Sv is the graphics card.. The 8600GS is so not worth it. And the G1S has a eSATA port too, as well as a tvtuner card. Both good enough to be deal clinchers. But I am totally turned off by the garish looks of the G1, and it's over my budget, so ....

@andy. There's a good review by kelldore, of the F3Jp. He also has a review after using it in Iraq for about half a year. If it could survive Iraq, I don't see it giving up on me. That said, i am not a rough handler, and my laptop reflects this. Just 2 scratches on the lid, due to a pen someone carelessly slipped in the bag...(still haven't forgiven him for that....)

As for the service, i have no idea.. Never needed them. Can do stuff like cleaning it out on my own, so there...
