    Why is it so difficult.

Theres barley anywhere that sells G50's and they have no stock if they do show them online. In america you get the N50 i believe with the 1gb 9650GT

In the UK it comes with a 9300 256mb or something as equally pointless.

I just dont see where i will be able to get a G50 from, i thought about ordering from the states. Then i realised i would get hit with tax's and all that plus shipping which would blow my budget.

someone needs to step it up over here in the UK and get with the times

But I notice that is only the 9700 G50v, you can get the G50VT with 9800 in the states for $950. Why do we get so screwed over in the UK?

I am also looking for something similar, either asus or msi both are difficult to source and both are lower specs in the UK compared to the US counterpart.

Caution: the ASUS support in the UK is infamous for very long turnaround times and very poor repair skills (including returning laptops broken in more ways than when they were sent in). See the Info Booth sticky / "survey on problems ..." for more details.

ninja2000 we seem to have the same problem
    i looked at msi's too

    england sucks

That's "normal" due to pricing and tax differences (electronics are always cheaper in the US than in Europe or the UK).

    (Notice the quotes.)

Please take EBE's warning regarding UK Asus support with serious consideration. I would strongly suggest looking at other laptops if you're located in the UK.
