    C 90 Mata****a UJ850S drive issue

    hey guys,

    gota a question,.. my c90 has mata****a Uj 850S dvd burner drive. it has region 5 selected on it.. it just plays the original dvd or cd.. it will not burn anything or will neither play anything else besides original stuff i.e. no mp3 files, burnt movies etc..

    what could be the reason or what can i do to fix it..

    also there is supposed to be just one optical drive and my explorer shows two .. one in the form of the dvd drive and one cd..
    the dvd drive will show the burnt cd as empty cd.. or a dvd as empty dvd..

    also there is a question mark on the dvd drive in device manager but the device works fine as it says on the driver details..

    help on this please...

    1. Windows driver problems (since you get 2 drives instead of 1). Try removing all those devices and refreshing, to get them reinstalled.
    2. Hardware problems.
    3. Firmware problems (Can try rewriting but from what I gather it's tough to do for Matsh!ta)
