My idiot friend accidentally puts a permanent marker stain on my c90. But thats not the worst part, he like a fool takes my bottle of 91% isopropyl alcohol and uses its directly on the stain (without diluting). He rubs hard and then he believes he spreads the marker around. When I look at it I realize that its not the marker but he has cleanly took the paint right off of my c90 and it looks worse that ever.

You can see that where the main stain was he took it right off. And where there stain wasn't, his circular motion started taking the paint off (you can see the darker spots.)

    HELP, what can I do?

A swift backhand slap and a trip to the Asus eStore with your friend's credit card in hand to get a new top case assembly.

How about painting the whole thing all together? But that would probably cost even more. Stickers maybe?

give him a beatdown and then take permanent marker and rub it on his face then use rubbing alcohol and splatter it on his face and rub hard with a steel wool pad.

How about picking up some Carbon fiber look adhesive film and custom cut it to fit. You can make a matching one for the opposite side. It'll match the lid and actually imo could look pretty sweet.

    Something like this, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CARB...006QQitemZ160212580675QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

You can probably find it at an Autozone, Wal-mart, Straus Auto etc. etc.
Even a sign shop might have some scrap lying around.

Real rough but you get the idea, I think I'd cut it out to look more like a ipod skin

If only real life could be photoshopped... you could have highlighted that region and used the ink-dropper tool to copy the colour of the rest of the notebook base onto that region.. :p

EDIT: If this happened to you with that notebook, I wonder what would happen to me (considering my UBER-IDIOTIC+MORONIC friends :p) with my Sager NP5793 when I get it....

Hey maybe with the Sager the marker wouldn't show up!!

What I want to know is what was he thinking, and or if he was trying to be funny, at least he could have scribbled something funny.

Ummm might be a language issue but I don't know if the word "screw" is the best choice here. Perhaps "beat" is a better choice, but hey you never know. :)

LOL ^. Time for bed guys, been a long day. Thanks for the suggestions. Think first is trip to walmart or somwhere to see what types of paint they have. Then sharpie, then sgts. idea though it looks cool in theory, dont' know how it will look in person.

Really you could just pull it off and spray it with some Krylon silver and most likely you'd never know.

Just be sure to hit it with a clear coat sealer spray to help with hand oils.

you could get a laptop skin - cut it so it fits around the keyboard and mouse pad. Use the extra skin to hold a EMF/static/glare shield in place for your screen.

Mask of the notebook and spray paint it with a cool camo pattern.
