I was thinking it was time to add another monitor to my setup. Currently I have a 19" monitor hooked up to my c90 via vga. If I were to get a new monitor which has dvi hookups, would it be possible to use a hdmi -> dvi cable to run the monitor off of the hdmi port? Would I also be able to still use my vga monitor while using the monitor off of the hdmi port?

    Thanks for the help.

I think you can do this, its been done with other Asus notebooks.

If not look into the add a monitor via usb deal that Asus sells, or Matrox's Dual/Tripple Head2Go.

    Update:
Well, I finally got a beautiful hdmi monitor. I hooked up the hdmi monitor, and it worked, I then hooked up the vga monitor, and no luck. The video card would not seem to detect the third monitor.
Also, games (such as TF2) can only run in windowed mode at 1680x1050 resolution, the max for the c90. Even though my other monitor has a much larger resolution, games can not run full screened (it forces the screen to the laptop monitor) and windowed mode can not have an resolution high enough to fill up the screen (1920x1200).

So one additional monitor works, but two additional monitors not so much, unless you guys have any helpful tips for me.

For the fullscreen problem, you could try making the external monitor the primary. That will probably mean that full screen goes to that monitor instead of the internal LCD.

Unfortunately, the option to change which monitor is the primary one is grayed out. It seems that the the laptop monitor must always be the primary monitor. Anyone know away to make the laptop monitor the secondary monitor?

I know I can do it in my drivers. Maybe you could try a different version of video drivers.

I have the most current drivers from ASUS, could someone else with a C90 and an 8600 check to see if they can make the non-laptop monitor the primary one?
