After looking at the supported ram list for the C90S I noticed that the largest stick it supported was 1 gig and there is only 2 slots on the C90S. I really want at least 3gigs because im using Vista. What ram configuration have you guys found to work that also lets you use all of the overclocking modes with a 2gig stick and a 1 gig stick. THANKS!!
p.s The reseller sent me corsair and my laptop bluescreens if anyone wants to know![]()

I've got Corsair Value Select 2gb + 1gb 667's sitting at home waiting for
the day I get my c90s.. I'm getting mixed reviews as to if it'll read all of
the 3gb i plan to use.. would be nice if someone would confirm it. -
no one had debated whether it will use 3gb...it wont read 4gb though. 3gb confirmed....

well I have corsair and it wont work with my laptop. So im returning the ram to the resellers and ordering my own ram but I WANT 3 gigs lol but im not sure if its supported. I dont think i could take another bluescreen lol

The c90 supports 3 gb total in a configuration of 2gb x 1gb. The cards may not be on the officially supported list but many of the posters on here are using 2gb sticks along with a 1gb stick with no problems. You may have problems with some brands of sticks that are not listed and you WILL have problems if you try two 2gb sticks; you wont even get past bios.

I can say I have confirmed that 2+2 wont even post
I also have it in my common problems and answers thread.

Would someone mind posting a link to NewEgg where they bought their 3GB RAM and confirmed working? I'm sure that'd help out a lot of people.

you posted corsair? I dont understand how does it work on your system with corsair but mine does not. Im almost postive its a ram issues and not overheating because i put a huge fan under my laptop and it will still blue screen. I was thinking about just saying screw it for now and just get 2 gigs of totaly supported ram and just deal with it tell they fix this problem with a bios update.

why 4gb ram dont work ? i understand (reading a lot of posts) that 64bits Vista will recognize at least 3,6gb of ram... The ifl90 allow 4gb, confirmed and working...

Because to get 4gb up and going there are MULTIPLE factors that must be taken into account, the OS is only one of them.
Your totally forgeting the Hardware side of things like the mobo/chipset and the bios it uses.
Both of these must support 4gb aswell, the 945g does not support 4gb of ram and thus the C90S doesnt support 4gb of ram. -
Does anybody know if the 2GB Transcend DDR2 667 Ram is compatible with the C90s?!
C90S 3gigs of compatible ram
