    Hi,

I posted some time ago about receiving the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL BSoD, and I've had a few minor problems because of this error (using cam in MSN causes BS; weird graphics textures--to the point of unplayable--in some Source games; other games won't run correctly at all).

But, within the past two weeks, I've noticed a bunch of dead/stuck pixels. Around the time that I purchased this laptop, I had the same problem with my desktop. Geek Squad said it was dead graphics card. What are the possiblities that my graphics card on my C90 are also going out?

    Thanks.

Stuck pixels are usually hardware faults in the LCD, nothing to do with GPU.

I would first try different video drivers (maybe stock?), a RAM test, and an OS reinstallation before deciding the GPU was faulty.

i get that same error it could be the driver, i def would check that... are you using the stock drivers?

and from what ive heard geek squad are a bunch of idiots, its gonna be the LCD if anything on dead pixels this generally occurs from shock, such as dropping the laptop or just old age... which shouldnt be much of a problem

No, it's not the LCD, because with my desktop, I tried two different monitors--the stuck pixels reappeared, and I've tried one of two monitors on another computer--no stuck pixels.

I'm running the latest drivers, according to Windows. Last time I tried updating it (with Driver Cleaner and everything), Windows didn't detect my card at all! So, I simply reinserted the Asus's Driver CD and started from there.

It seems you're having the correct drivers. I would still remove them, run drivercleaner, and use the stock drivers.

See my post above for other suggestions.

If none of this works, you need to RMA I'm afraid...

I know this problem... earlier I have tried everything to make the damn card work without crashing nv4_disp driver, so I thought it was the graphic card... 2 weeks of testring after I bought my machine and then I had 2 take it to the repair service.. After one week they had reported to me, that this is a know asus problem with c90s and that it is a motherboard error. So it seems I am gonna get a new motherboard now. They also said that they are going to replace the electric feeder. Mine was 90W and now I am getting the 130W one..
