I'm having trouble finding updates for video drivers for the NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT.

The ones on Asus's website seem to be outdated. As well as a place to get the updated BIOS. I'm sorry if this comes off as incredibly noob, any help is appreciated.

I used to use 169.01 they worked great for me.

The newest ones that I knew were confirmed to work are the ones from Swoleys install guide 174.31

Get them from the site NightWalker mentioned laptopvideo2go.com and find them in the forums, not the main page.

You have to overwrite the .inf file with the modified one. All the details on that are on the laptopvideo2go page. You should see 2 downloads one for the driver and one for the .inf

Once you extract the driver to a folder, move the .inf you downloaded into that folder and overwrite the old one. It gives the installer "permission" to install it on your notebook.

    Thanks....here's another question...

My FN Hotkeys all work except the touchpad one, it'll pop up and say its disabled or enabled, but if it won't actually be disabled or enabled. And once it's set to that the Fn won't take it off. I've updated to the new Synaptics version (and strangely it took out the option, disable touchpad if another usb device is detected).

    Anyone have any advice?
