I am a toss diciding between the C90 or a basic A7s I can add to as time goes on. I mainly wan HDMI, eSATA, dual hard drives Wi-Fi N, and a 10key pad plus volume knob or dial. A TV tuner is a + too. How much effort is it to hunt down parts to upgrade a configured ASUS Multi Mdia Notebook? ie, change monitor, DVD drive, or Wi-Fi ard and such?

can I get some insite from both model users? I want something upgradable of corse but if I was to go with an A7S on PM965, wouldn't I basically be able to change out parts as they came along in the nex year or so such new Graphics chip or CPU plus sound or Wi-Fi and so on?

I really like the look of the C90S case but would I be limited to only the Xtreme LGA775 CPU's and the 945 chipset? Is this versio of the 945 actually better then the newest PM965 used on many new notebooks?

What are the plans for mobo upgrade of the C90's should we see a mobile Bearlake chpset or at least want 965 if any soon? As for RAM, So what about using 4GB of RAM in a 2x2Gb config?

You can't upgrade the motherboard of the C90S. It's possible they might use a different chipset in the future, but unlikely.

lol, it wouldn't be a C90"S" if it had a new chipset.

Would be great if you could switch out notebook mobo and they followed a form factor like ATX and Micro ATX, but we all know the companies holding the notebook market would not allow it.
