Some how, knowing Asus's history with the C90s, I'm afraid this will cause the C90s to self destruct. Heading to Asus to download now.

    It says:
    Enhance CPU Compatibility.

Not sure if it fixed other problems, but try it if anyone having RAM compatibility issue.

Hopefully Enhance CPU Compatibility means Game Mode now working on E6700 without send it back to them for MB re-work, but I doubt it.

Thus far, running stable...one strange thing, the RAM has always had a Windows rating of about 4.9 to about 5.4 max, but now it stands at 5.9!

Hmmm, To upgrade or not? That is the question.

No, Wait, the question is "Where in the world did I leave my laptop, and why is there a toaster under my bed?"

What I am wondering is whether or not this increases fan speeds at lower temps like dell and hp bios upgrades?

No life altering changes after 1002, fans don't seem any louder or on all the time.

Oh well. Then I have a question I can't figure out. Is there any way to keep the fans on? e.g. change the threshold in the bios to a lower temp?

I could say do a search, but I think the answer has been buried good and deep. In short no, ppl on the forum have done mods to wire the fans directly into the power (with a switch) to allow them to toggle the fans from auto to always on.

Thanks, I saw that mod, and did search a bit to try and figure it out.

The reason I'm looking is because them temps are usually ~82 through ~90 when under load. It for some odd reason jumps up to 95 when the display turns off. The only thing I can think of is that the fans are powering down, and I can't figure out how to keep them on.

Thanks for the info though. I guess I will just have to live with the high temps.
