First of all, I received my C90 a few days ago and everything works fine which is very good for me since I live in Spain and RMA would be a real pain where the sun don't shine.
I just checked my CPU frequency in Overclocking Mode with CrystalCPUID and it shows just 2.76Ghz. Is this normal? Should it not be 2.93?
Here are my readouts for the different modes:
1.58Ghz - Power Saving
2.40Ghz - Standard
2.64Ghz - Gaming
2.76Ghz - Overclocking
You can get the utility here http://crystaldew.info/category/software/crystalcpuid/
Does anybody with a e6600 get the same results?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

kidding well thats very informative one thing though in turbogear window OC mode is listed "15% to 20% increase" so maybe i wont always go to 20% which will explain different speed between systems (probably has to do with heat?) -

probably depends on the cpu, like say a e6420 gets the full 20% (it may also have something to do with the ram detected since it has to overclock the ram too)
I did the math based on the full 20% tho. -

I think I am just getting 15% then. But I still have the stock bios maybe I'll upgrade to something newer and see if that makes any difference. Thanks guys for the quick replies as usual and for that informative guide Vicious. You really remind me of my old maths teacher right now but your numbers are much more interesting

With a 8600M 512MB DDR2 you won't see a difference in games anyway,

I tried all the different bios (401, 502, 704) with no luck.
I wrote an e-mail to ASUS Technical Service asking them how I can achieve the 20% overclock instead of the 15%. This is what they wrote back:
"Dear Chris,
We don't have information about overclock the Intel e6600. If you need more information about overclocking, please contact with Intel.
Kind Regards,
ASUS TSD"
Why would I want to contact Intel about a program ASUS made? -
