Hi Guys,
I normally use my C90s at school and because of this I don't have time for the computer to cool down before I put it into my laptop bag and go to my next class. Could the heat coming from the computer mixed with an enclosed environment damage any of the parts in my C90s?
Also I normally have it running on the AC power if that makes any difference to heat.
Cheers,

no.... it will just take longer to cool down

Make sure it's powered off. If it is powered on and you put it into a bag, it won't be pretty. I've heard of melted screens that resulted. However, if it is powered down, the temperature won't go up, so it cannot exceed the temperature when it is in use, therefore there is no reason for it to be damaged.

No, it wont damage it. Like said before, it cannot get any hotter in the bag while powered down, than while on. As min2209 said, if it is powered-on, then you need to turn it off as that can result in damage. (Remember, if your leaving it on for quick start up in your next class, you can use hibernation or standby.)
_________Hope I could help -
oh yeah I forgot about that. Windows goes hibernation by default if you close the lid under battery mode so I didn't think about it

Thanks for all your help everyone, +Rep for you all!

Just kinda common sense if you think about it.
While its on its activlly heating up, but also activly cooling down (procesor/gpu/hdd ect running causes heat, but the fans cool it down and the air around it)
Turning it off kills all the heat sources, so even if you eliminate the cooling sources at the same time it cant possibly get any hotter than what it was. -
There is no danger in putting your laptop straight in the bag after turning off. -

It has been know that entering standby or hibernation can be haulted (rearely) and the laptop will remain running in limbo. Such can cause the laptop to overheat in your bag becuase the technology that is posed to shut the laptop down for its own good is also in limbo. I ve seen this happen once in my life and a few times on the forums. Happen on my own s5n. Luckily i found it on the verge of meltdown. Still works good but it did not enter shutdown after the cpu was well over 95C. Moral of the story is make sure all lights out before you put it in your bag
