I love my C90 even now when it is in repair service. To shorten the waiting time I am interested if you had any experience installing Linux to the box?

It's name also reminds me of my first computer, roughly the same portable size.. C64 ;)

When I am getting it back I'll go with Slackware or Ubuntu.. will decide that then, but in the meanwhile I want to hear about your experience..

i have been working on mandriva 2008, installed the nvidia drivers from nvidia.com and compiz worked very well.... :), i still have to try the x64 distribution to see how the performance gains..... i know ubuntu is very good also......but from all the distributions mandriva always seems to have the nicest desktop environment for me

JCMS you should install vista first (on a different partition ), from what i know linux has less trouble identifying other OS's

D3M0N i don't know what you are talking about....maybe you should try other distributions....maybe it's a problem on the way that CD was recorded....maybe it was recorded without the boot sector...try other CD?..

    I'll do that

I'm just gonna do a full backup before. Vista does not support FAT32 OTB and Linux does for NTSF

We'll the Ubuntu disk works fine in my desktop, but on my C90s I can get as far as the screen with the Ubuntu logo but when I click 'Install or Boot into Ubuntu' it will begin loading and then crash.
