Okay, I've wondered about this for a while and I think I *might* be coming upon one when/if my other friend's rig pukes out (motherboard been acting weird with both his X6800 and his E6600). But I have a number of reservations

    1) Will I need the 120w processor?
    2) How does this affect the ram speed? Am I stuck at 533 forever since I obviously cannot use turbogear
    3) The chip has an unlocked multiplier, is there any way to take advantage of this? Did Asus even think anyone would somehow happen upon one and will allow me to have fun with it?
    4) Oh dear god will the C90s cool the beast? I mean I know the turbo engine rocks but I think the fans might get worn out.
    5) Has anyone on the forum actually gotten one for use in the C90s? I am very curious if anyone actually pushed the C90s to the edge.

I think you can't use it anymore on it.

It runs with a x6800 but its not offically supported and there was alot of random problems with some units that had them. Really tho why would you want it? a e6600 will run nearly the same clock speed with turbo gear and cost less, giving you more flexibility too since you have the option for a lower clock speed.

If you want to be brave with a unofficially supported cpu atleast try a q6600 :p

ive been running the x6800 since october in my c90s with the 90w power supply. i have the 8600gt gpu 2G ram and 200g 7200 sata. I have had Xp pro and Vista on it. both run great. The only problem ive had so far is if im compressing dvds about 20-30 minutes into it i get bsod. that sucks because its almost done! Im working on that. not sure what that problem is yet. b4 bsod the machine is incredibly fast to me. The fastest vista machine i have seen anyway. ;)
