I'm a little behind on the Vista side of things, has anyone found a driver yet for the 8600gt gddr3 besides factory that won't kill the performance? (worth asking anyway![]()
thanks!

Asus released a new driver that worked with it, It should be on their website.
-
Thanks! Checking it now...I checked the other day, but didn't see one

I Had it bookmarked on my desktop, which just decided to completely crap itself. Why Did it happen to my good desktop?
-
are you using the driver now? can you give me the driver number? thanks
-
No, but I was using it for about two weeks. Didn't crash at all, but the only reason I was using it was to see if it fixed an issue in a specific game. These might be them, but from lv2g instead of off asus's site http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=16925

thats the one i use too, for some reason my ddr3 performs very badly with the 169 drivers but does awesome with the 167.
-
@halfhalo......you have a much different card than I do....we use different drivers....the gddr3 card that I have responds differently. If I used those LV2Go drivers my performance would drop in half. That's why I put gddr3 in the post heading.
-
Ah, but these drivers were released for the gdd3 card.
-
Interesting...the MXM type II card? I'll check them out anyway....see, the G1S has a gddr3 card, but it's drivers are a no go I believe...I'll check it out -

Does that driver have an issue with performance? Does it allow overclocking?
-
NVM...thats Vista only. I tried Vista on my C90S yesterday...I still hate it from the last time I tried it.
-
@halfhalo.....thanks for the link, I'm trying them now....!
