Ok, so earlier I asked if a certain set of ram will work and noone was sure. Now Im curious if anyone (Ken maybe?) has a list of RAM sticks by brand and model number that are compatible instead of the complicated list of ram modules. Id hate to get the wrong stuff for xmas and deal with returning it.

I ordered 2x1gb DDR2 667 Super Talents, someone commended me for my selection, suppose to be pretty compatible. At 20$ a stick who could complain too.

Thats the ram module (the black tihngs on the PCB) list and trying to find out what each brand and model uses is like trying to make gold outta lead. Unfortunantly laptop RAM isnt like desktop ram, where that info is readily available fro overclockers.
Zigg, whered you get ram for $20 a stick? Newegg has em at 44 a stick

Its funny. DDR2 prices have gone way down, but DDR prices have gone way up. I was looking at breathing some new life into my s939 system since newegg has an X2 4200+ for $68. Another gig of ram will set my back $80 when i can get great ddr2 800 sticks for $35!

    FalloutMan,
They are CL5 I believe and yes, they should be 100% compatible. Super Talent I believe has the Transcend chips on them.

DDR2 are mainstream now so alot of plants have converted over to making DDR2, which explains why they are so cheap. Also to note demand for DDR2 is huge compared to DDR1 anymore, so supply is upped. DDR1 is older, takes more to make less, its only logical that DDR1 should be more expensive in a time like now.
