Hey guys,
Does anybody know what the "cd" button (with the media buttons along the left edge of the keyboard) does? It's not like HP's quickplay thingy, is it?
Thanks.

It turns on the cd player when the computer is off....... so you can play cds without booting into the OS.

Does it work for DVDs by any chance? That's how the HP quickplay feature is.
Thanks. -
No, it's not like HP's quickplay. It only plays CDs

Oh well..it's still handy.

It work's with DVD's on my W3v. Obviously you can't play a DVD with the screen turned off. But as far as pressing the buttons for: Play, Pause, Stop and to Skip ahead or go back in chapters the side buttons work.

That's another story. Those buttons are used for two things........ 1. when the computer is off to control the cd audio. 2. when the computer is on to control media player, as you are.
CD Button on W3V and Z63A....
