I've installed ASP.NET just to try CHC, and now my laptop has a new user called ASP.NET Machine... and then my log-on in windows has changed too...

The question is: Can I disable ASP.NET Machine user without losing any functionality?

    Thanks in advance.

I believe chc required .net framework 1.1 to work.. i have that and it works fine... no user problem...

Thanks, but I mean that after installing .net framework 1.1 without problems, and chc running ok, my w3 now has 2 users, before .net it only had 1 user (me), and due to this new user, I need to log in (on windows starting), typing user/pw...
    then...

If I disable .ASP NET user, my logon to windows will be, as usual, just power on laptop with no user/pw typing... but... WILL CHC RUN PROPERLY?

    Thanks again.

Yes, you can delete the extra user under control panel>users
the ASP.NET user is meant for .NET developers i believe. It has no effect on CHC's functionality

The new account you are referring to should have nothing to do with CHC. It is the account used to spawn Active Server Page threads. If you really want to bring back auto login (VERY BAD idea from a security standpoint) try this.

you can also use powertools TweakUI to disable log in names. Since I don't have a VPN server, I use this feature all the time to give certain users in my family different security on different machines without having all these different logins (i.e. on the family desktop PC I don't have my own login, but when I use that machine through the network, I have access to everything, while my fathers laptop, for instance, has limited directories he can modify).
