Well it was so so for them. They thought it had mediocre gaming scores and they actually did not look that bad. They like the looks which some don't I do. But the battery life was worse then the Dell XPS M1710 it was less then a 2 inch sli gaming brute! I know Asus had bad battery life but that just reeks. I cannot wait till the rumored 8700GT version of this laptop, but I would much rather get a Clevo M570RU but all in all I think this is a great notebook.

Also does someone have info on the difference between Quake 4 and F.E.A.R?

I know but it gives you a basic idea of the laptop. Remember for descriptive thoughts we have NBR!

For a basic feel, you can cope one at a local Best buy...
For notebook reviews, I would leave it to professional reviewers who know what they are talking about and not wannabe review sites.

If they can't even get the size right then I have no respect for them as "Computer Experts" and thus, no respect for the review and anything in it.

Also, for them ragging on the battery life, it got the best score for battery life out of the bunch. Also they kept knocking the G1 for not being as good as a 3000$ 17-inch extreme gaming laptop. Obviously they don't look into who would be buying a G1s.

Ah, I take it back, that was one of the things they gave it was battery life...against 17 inch super gaming notebooks. They just reviewed it against the wrong laptops and had a different idea of what it was.

The competitors to this are like the MSI 17" gaming notebooks (forgot the name), MBP, and Dell M1720. In this lineup I think it reigns supreme! I just hope they come up with the rumored 8700GT version.

try more like the xps1530, the 15.4" ibuypower notebooks, and maybe the more loaded 1720s. This should not be compared to 17" dedicated gaming notebooks just ebcause of the form factor. Yes the G series is a very good value but don't expect the performance of a 3k+ 17" notebook for 1700 in a 15.4" shell. I'd actually say the G series only true competitor is the 15.4" xps (1530). Another 15.4" gaming notebook priced about the same.

No there is the Falcon Northwest TLX and the MBP 17". But if the rumored 8700GT version comes out it will boost it's market place.
