    Hello Experts >
I got an old laptop equipped with motherboard :
    • ASUSTeK Computer Inc. K50IJ (Socket 478)
My question is : Is this CPU compatible with the motherboard ?

    Intel Pentium 4 3.2 SL7PN - 3200MHz / 1MB L2 cache / 800MHz

If both are incompatible , what is the fastest and best performing CPU I could install on this Motherboard ?

    Thanks
    Kind regards

No, the pentium 4 is much older (and less efficient). You need a CPU in the same generation as the T6500 (core 2 duo mobile).
