I'm on my asus g51. Just recently I noticed my laptop was starting to vent out more hot air then usual... I doubt its any dust or any clogs in there because I keep it locked up and safe and i got this laptop not to long ago.

I also notice firefox is taking up my CPU usage, which is heating up my laptop even more. Why is that? I've even reinstalled firefox, But on the Task Manger, my CPU usuage kicks up to about %60 to %70 percent (when i have firefox on.) and on my process tabs the CPU number goes up to about 30 to 40...

Can someone please help me. Firefox is my favorite browser to use and i really don't know why it started taking up my cpu usuage.

I'm also using SpeedFan to monitor the tempature and my GPU: is around 70 to 77c. While the Core0: 0.45C , Core 2: 1:44c. <is that normal temp for my laptop? But of course when starup Firefox, the tempature itself starts to slowly rise.

Perhaps you've got a rouge add on. You may wish to try another browser if only to if it's FF or not.

Agree - look through your FF add-ons to see if any of those might be trying to access the net for update checks or something. I ran into that issue a while back; try disabling all and then enable one at a time to see when/if your symptoms recur and you've got the culprit.
