    Hi,

I just got a V6J BIOS 303 with a Core Duo 2Ghz CPU. Under the BIOS it only registers as a Pentium M and the same thing in WinXP's Device Manager but it shows 2 CPU's identified as Pentium M's. So obviously it's a Core Duo. I am wondering if this is how everyone else's computer reads the CPU or is something up with mine. Any help would be great.

    Thanks in Advance,
    Chet

    Here's how it detects mine (T2400 / 1.83 GHz).

K, thanks. Something is definitely up with my V6J. Attached I show two Pentium M 2.0Ghz instead of the Core Duo. Any ideas? And just to double check you are running BIOS 303?

Im using BIOS version 303. I would say this is sorta weird. Was the processor changed, upgraded, or was this a factory processor? Also, is this a Core Dueo, or Core 2 Duo?

Already tried the Intel Processor Id Software. It recognized the CPU as Intel made but doesn't know what type it is. There is something up with my system. It works just fine but it's weird that the it reads the Core Duo as two Pentium M's. I may just try to flash the BIOS again with BIOS 303 and see what happens.

Caleb: It is a Core Duo and it came from Asus. I never upgraded the CPU.

Thats really weird. My processor has been identified by tons of different things, Linux, Windows, Memtest, countless programs, and it always shows up at the right thing.
